PROJ #5: RULE of THIRDS PORTRAITS

DIRECTIONS:
  • IN CLASS: Make 10+ different photographs of your partner (list below)
  • AT HOME: Make 10+ different photographs of one or two people at home/out of school. (These will be added to the images you made in class.)
  • Compose the frame with the RULE OF THIRDS.
  • Bring all images to next class. 
*Turn on the GRID display on your screen (phone/camera)

THE LIST:
Make one+ image each from the list below.
Place your person in one of the intersections of your rule of thirds grid

1. A serious expression
2. A smiling(ish) expression
3. The subject looking over their shoulder back at the camera.
4. From above (Your subject looking up at the camera=you are above your subject in some way)
5. Half of the face only (put one of their eyes in the intersections of rule of thirds)
6. From the shoulders up (their head in one of the intersections of rule of thirds)
7. Full body in the composition.
8-10. Any combination of the above seven in this list. 

When complete, you should have a total of TEN images minimum...but MORE is better. 
Make a few of each to insure you have good quality images when you get to your computer in class.
