EXPLANATION. For the first weekend metaphor assignment, you will make a photograph for the three words below. Each photograph should be a visual metaphor that represents and is symbolic of that word/term.

DIRECTIONS. 
Put your DIGITAL camera on "auto" function for the time being. Think outside the box and make a photograph that is a visual metaphor for each of the following words/phrases. Brainstorm your ideas first.

THE CHALLENGE.  You are creative and clever so challenge yourself beyond the literal translation.

I would like to change how competitive the world has gotten. For teenagers everything seems like a competition and you constantly have to live up to societal standards. This competition comes from sports, academics, wealth, social media and celebrity influences. Without all the competition people could focus on who they are and become who they want to be for themselves without feeling like they are competing with other people.

I would like to change the way that people view others, more specifically their individual beliefs and feelings towards certain subjects. Every person has the right to think and do whatever they feel is right, and I believe that in today's society, there is so much hate and negativity that surrounds having opposing beliefs and thinking outside of what is seen as normal. If we all respected each other and our personal thoughts and feelings, everyone would be much happier and more confident in themselves, creating a better world to live in.

If I could change one thing about the world, it would be a larger amount of acceptance and friendliness between the human race. (Essentially what you said as well, after I wrote this!)

Humans have lost the way of kindness, we are so quick to judge and spread hate and we don't seem to care what affect it has on our world. I would want people to just be kind to others no matter their beliefs or opinions.
